Zumbathon for Yes to Life & The Frontline NHS Team

Come and join our 2 hour Zumbathon raising money for Yes to Life cancer care charity and the NHS frontline staff. Tickets are £10 and all of the proceeds will be donated to our cancer care charity. On the day we will also be hosting a raffle. All of the proceeds of our raffle will be donated to the NHS frontline staff.

About YES To Life!

Yes to life is an organisation totally independent of commercial agendas and focuses entirely on supporting people with cancer, to give them every chance of surviving and living well.  They give direct support to people who are in urgent need of fresh solutions with the use of integrative medicine. Adding to current conventional methods by bringing in highly sophisticated nutritional science and complimentary techniques. Giving answers to some of the confusing information given by the media and internet and helping people to take control of their own recovery and well being.

My Story

November 2nd last year I was given the very scary and life changing news that I had early stage breast cancer. I completely fell apart and I really don't know how I would have got through it without my very supportive family and friends around me.

My journey was largely an integrative approach to healing. A 'wholistic' approach of modern medicine, nutrition, emotional wellbeing and complimentary therapies. For me, it felt disempowering and scary to think that there was nothing I could do towards my recovery apart from wait for surgery and medical treatment. The things that were in my control was my lifestyle and diet, so I made that my focus. It helped me to face my fears, feel in control, empowered resilience and awareness and education around a holistic approach, health and wellbeing that I will be forever grateful for.

I have decided to raise money for a charity that takes an integrative approach to the treatment of cancer. One which encourages people to take control of their own healing process and help people to feel empowered at a time when they feel so scared and helpless.
